Strange topic

I am trying to maintain a diplomatic opinion on this topic. Truth of the matter is I do think it is bizarre. Now before you cast judgment hear me out. Many years ago, when the idea was very new and it was extremely taboo to have a prim baby and to be a "child" avatar; I conducted a social experiment(sorta), I got my self a pregnant shape and conducted all my business as a pregnant avatar. I would go to adoption agencies and see what they were all about, they seemed very underground at the time. The reactions I received were very mixed ranging from, utter disgust, congratulatory but most of all curiosity. As a matter of fact I was interviewed by a reporter from the Second Life Herald about my "pregnancy". Never had a chance to read that article but based on the questions alone it was a very bias stand point. After awhile i did ditch the shape, socially it was getting me nowhere. It subjective me to negative behaviors from other avatars, some of which looked at it as a sexual fetish. Another thing I notice when interacting with "child" avatars was the sexuality involved in the "RP", this to me was disgusting and to bizarre for me to even take , but that is a whole other issue. Needless to say I left that world alone. A year or so later when I made my way back on to the grid I was in AMAZEMENT on how may people were taking part of this "RP". Something that had once been so "Taboo" had made its way into the "main grid". I did try and investigate this more recently but the same feelings of weirdness overcame me. There were now animations of birth, talking tummies and clinics devoted to this new revolution. After witnessing far too many You Tube birthing videos, I again have to leave it alone. I have to say that on a social stand point it is something that is becoming more socially accepted and hey I guess whats good for the goose is good for the gander, so they say. My point is this I personally find it to be strange "RP" something that I personally would not want to participate in; However, If someone does that is completely up to them I cannot say whats right or wrong for them, so be it. Same thing for the Furrys, Vamps,Amazons,Gors, Spiders, Lycans, Mermaids, Fea and other spacey creatures not for me but WHATEVER. -Que Sera-
